Texas Culinary Academy
Welcome to the Texas Culinary Academy, located in the capital city of Austin, Texas. The 52,100 square foot facility offers aspiring culinarians a creative and supportive environment coupled with the world famous culinary arts Le Cordon Bleu curriculum.
Located in the heart of central Texas, Austin stands as the gateway to the scenic Hill Country and the Highland Lakes. Located just a few hours from Dallas and Houston, the city of Austin is known as the live music capital of the country, and offers a culturally rich environment, with myriad galleries, restaurants, museums and theater. The largest concentration of music venues is found downtown in the Warehouse District and along Sixth Street, a six-block stretch of bars and restaurants.
The culinary arts program at TCA blends classical French cuisine with American inventiveness in a fast-paced 15-month period. At TCA, we know you need more than theory and technique. We offer students practical hands-on approaches to innovative methods and classical techniques. Students will be introduced to more than 25 foreign cuisines combined with a cross-cultural spirit. TCA,s talented faculty offers more than 400 years of industry experience along with a true passion for the culinary field. TCA students learn from caring and experienced instructors.
TCA students enjoy rigorous hands-on training that serves up both lab and general education coursework including Speech, English, Math, Psychology along with the necessary business management classes including Hospitality Supervision, and Food and Beverage Cost Control.
Texas Culinary Academy is part of the Career Education Corporation network. Career Education Corporation is pleased to make placement assistance available for TCA graduates and alumni. On-site agencies, with global access to candidates and job opportunities from TCA domestic and international sites, are located on many of the campuses and can aid in securing employment that is both exciting and rewarding.
